2011-12 North Carolina Hunting Seasons
• The 2011-12 North Carolina hunting seasons have been released by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. For more information about these seasons, as well as any new regulations for 2011-12, visit www.ncwildlife.org.
Eastern Deer Seasons
Bow and Arrow: September 10th - 30th
Muzzleloading: October 1st - 14th
Gun: October 15th - January 2nd
2011-12 Limits• The big game hunting license authorizes the hunter to harvest up to six deer. All six deer can be antlerless for all areas of the state. The season limit for antlered deer in the Eastern Deer Season is four.
• There is NO daily bag limit.
• The possession limit for antlered deer is the same as the season limit.
• The possession limit for antlerless deer is equivalent to the number of antlerless deer the hunter is authorized to harvest on his big game hunting license and any Bonus Antlerless Harvest Report Cards they may have procured. Bonus Anterless Harvest Report Cards may be purchased from an NCWRC agent, by phone, or online. This authorizes the hunter to take two anterless deer.

• The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provides frameworks from which to choose the seasons, and the NC WRC selects the actual dates within these guidelines.
• Migratory Birds include dove, geese, ducks, swans, teal, and others.
